Old-Time Radio Convention, Cincinnati, May 29-30, 1998


Barney Beck, sound effects man for Bob and Ray, the Shadow, and Superman; with Emily, Barney's wife Joan, and Karen.



Nana Clute, Karen, Ed Clute, and Emily. Ed is a genuine keyboardist extraordinaire, and he provides all the music for the old-time radio re-creations.



Bob Hastings, radio's Archie Andrews, and TV's Lt. Elroy Carpenter on McHale's Navy. He also played bar owner Tommy Kelsey in All In the Family.



Bob Mott with Emily, Karen, and Dan. Bob wrote and did sound effects for Gangbusters, Bob Hope, Captain Kangaroo, Dick Van Dyke, Red Skelton, and a ton of other radio and TV shows.



John Rayburn has been in the broadcasting business for 52 years. He started as a DJ in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and retired as a TV news anchorman in Denver. He is a Spoonerism genius, and he's written a book about his travel-trailer tour of most of North America.
